L'Occitane!
Sunday, January 6, 2008 at 09:11AM I can't stop smelling my hands. (Okay, upon re-reading that I realize it sounds gross...but it's true!)
Last night I opened and used a sample of L'Occitane's Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body cream on my sad, sad chapped hands and they feel less chapped this morning. The scent is wonderful! It has a tiny, tiny hint of YSL's Rive Gauche parfum (which I wore in middle school. Yea, I was such an "independent and unpredictable woman" back then. ahha), which I'm sure it's not supposed to, it's just my nose that detects it. It has hints of honey, sweet almond and apricot oils as well as other essential oils. I love products, just ask any of my friends or ex-boyfriends. I really have no brand allegiance either (I know, a marketing person's nightmare!). I do usually buy Lush (Tramp body wash, a woodsy, patchouli scent), Kiehl's (Grapefruit body wash), Aveda (Shampure shampoo, Love Oil essential oil) and Body Shop, but now I'm adding L'Occitane to my list of must haves. Oh, I've also tried their Honey Foaming Jelly for Body & Hair. It is also really wonderful. I mean, if you like to smell like honey when you step out of the shower.
L'Occitane's shea butter cream is a tad bit expensive...but I think well worth it. And hey, they're French...so they're fucking cool by association.
Oh, and if you want to read more of my reviews, not necessarily products, but restaurants and bars, etc. go to Yelp.
