No, I like a variety of cereals.

I was at Whole Foods a couple of weeks ago, wandering around like I normally do, when I spied 365 Cosmic Cocoa Puffs. 'Hey, they were on sale, so why not?' I figured. So, I just had a bowl of the Cosmic Cocoa Puffs and loved 'em ! (Ok, truth be told, I had to stop eating them after 1.5 bowls). Oh, and they're even better when mixed with a few pieces of Peanut Butter Puffins as well. The cereal stays quite crunchy and they're not too sugary, and it's only 110 calories per 3/4 cup serving. The Cosmic Cocoa Puffs are reminiscent of General Mills' Cocoa Puffs. Well, actually I think they're even better. Plus they make your "milk" turn chocolaty. What's not to love??

So, I guess you could say that I'm "Cuckoo for Cosmic Cocoa Puffs."

[groans. When I got home I was surprised at the tiny little squares. It's a corn cereal and I had taste flashbacks from one of my all time faves as a child: King Vitamin!! (The previous link isn't the original packaging I remember when I was a wee lass. The KV box actually featured an old man dressed up in red velvet robes, wearing a crown...because as far as I knew when I was 5, he *was* King Vitamin).

Anyway, back to Kashi's new cereal (well, new to me) Honey Sunshine. It's light, crisp, honey sweetened (not too sweet) corn puffs...that are yummy alone, which is how I've only eaten them so far. A 3/4 c. serving is only 100 calories (10 cal from fat), 1.5 g of fat, 85 mg of potassium, 25g of carbs, 6g fiber, 6g sugar, and 2g of protein (sorry, it does contain wheat and soy ingredients).

Perhaps tomorrow I will venture away from my usual, Irish quick oatmeal, and have a bowl with some vanilla rice milk.

Yay Kashi! Another great cereal.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://socgrrrl.squarespace.com/product-reviews/2008/7/28/michelob-ultra-fruit-infused-beer.html"><rss:title>Michelob Ultra Fruit Infused "Beer"</rss:title><rss:link>http://socgrrrl.squarespace.com/product-reviews/2008/7/28/michelob-ultra-fruit-infused-beer.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Drink</dc:subject>

I burst out laughing after I saw the ad for Michelob Ultra's fruit infused beer. Wait, not true, my mom enjoys it too. My grandma, her mom, Kay, used to make it with brandy. Yum!

Anyway, while I was home in Michigan for Christmas mom and I went to Meijer's (best grocery store ever! precursor to those superstores, like Target and Walmart) and I spotted the X-mas delicacy in the produce department. My favorite brand is Claxton, though, Sunmaid makes a decent one with lots of pecans. I don't understand why fruit cake gets such a bad rap and why more people don't enjoy this dried fruit, nut, molasses, sugar and bread-y treat. It's seriously good (well, not so much if you're allergic to nuts). I just had a couple small pieces. If you buy some, put it in the fridge, it'll last and you will be reminded of Christmas all year long.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://socgrrrl.squarespace.com/product-reviews/2008/1/6/loccitane.html"><rss:title>L'Occitane!</rss:title><rss:link>http://socgrrrl.squarespace.com/product-reviews/2008/1/6/loccitane.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

I can't stop smelling my hands. (Okay, upon re-reading that I realize it sounds gross...but it's true!)

Last night I opened and used a sample of L'Occitane's Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body cream on my sad, sad chapped hands and they feel less chapped this morning. The scent is wonderful! It has a tiny, tiny hint of YSL's Rive Gauche parfum (which I wore in middle school. Yea, I was such an "independent and unpredictable woman" back then. ahha), which I'm sure it's not supposed to, it's just my nose that detects it. It has hints of honey, sweet almond and apricot oils as well as other essential oils. I love products, just ask any of my friends or ex-boyfriends. I really have no brand allegiance either (I know, a marketing person's nightmare!). I do usually buy Lush (Tramp body wash, a woodsy, patchouli scent), Kiehl's (Grapefruit body wash), Aveda (Shampure shampoo, Love Oil essential oil) and Body Shop, but now I'm adding L'Occitane to my list of must haves. Oh, I've also tried their Honey Foaming Jelly for Body & Hair. It is also really wonderful. I mean, if you like to smell like honey when you step out of the shower.

L'Occitane's shea butter cream is a tad bit expensive...but I think well worth it. They're back, baby!!

Now, I'm not really a huge fan of white chocolate, (I'm more of a dark chocolate fiend. Give me 70%+ cocoa, and I'm a happy girl. I was hesitant at first...but then tried one. Nice, somewhat buttery (one can really taste the cocoa butter) flavor with a hint of mint and little bits of crunchy candy cane (actually, I don't think it's really candy cane, more "candy cane-like"). I was sold. Then I found out that the kisses were limited edition (gasp!) and are only available around X-mas. Well...they're back. Run out and buy some. Go. Now.

</rss:item></rdf:RDF>
